Anton Schranz (1769-1839) Maltese. "Entrance to Valetta, Malta", Watercolour, Unfinished, Inscribed and Dated 1826, Unframed 8.25" x 13.5" (21 x 34.3cm). Provenance: Edward Every-Clayton of Lancashire, son of Sir Henry Every. He served in the 80th Regiment of Foot (Staffordshire Volunteers) and was posted to Gibraltar and later stationed in Malta and the Ionian Islands.
