A Chinese Blue and White Porcelain Stem Cup with Tibetan Script, Xuande Mark.

A Chinese porcelain stem cup of flared form, raised on a tall cylindrical foot, finely potted and decorated in underglaze blue. The exterior of the bowl is encircled by a continuous band of Tibetan script, painted in a confident, fluid hand, above a stylised lotus-petal band around the lower body. The foot is further embellished with scrolling decorative motifs in blue. The interior is centred with a vivid dragon roundel, depicted in dynamic motion amidst stylised clouds, enclosed within double concentric lines. The rim is neatly finished with a double-line border, and the underside bears a neatly written six-character Xuande reign mark within a double circle, rendered in underglaze blue.

H: Approximately 11.6cm
