A 19TH CENTURY OTTOMAN COMPASS AND QIBLA INDICATOR

A 19th-century Ottoman Qibla indicator and compass exemplifies both functionality and artistic brilliance. Enclosed in a beautifully decorated wooden case, the exterior features gilded floral motifs and a crescent moon emblem. Upon opening, the interior reveals a stunning enamel-painted scene of the Holy Kaaba in Mecca, surrounded by vibrant floral borders. The lower compartment houses the Qibla compass encircled by Arabic inscriptions.
