A Lee Metford 1888 pattern MK1 type II bayonet with a naval pattern leather scabbard, the steel pommel stamped 256, the wooden grip with two brass rivets with an oiling hole beneath the second rivet, the double-edged blades ricasso stamped 10 96, with broad arrow, proofing marks and War Department stamps, in a leather scabbard with leather frog. Length 44cm.
