This collection comprises various denominations from the reign of King George VI (r. 1936-1952), representing both the UK and Commonwealth territories. The group contains silver alloy coins including threepences dated 1937, sixpences dated 1940 and 1946, and a 1945 one shilling. Also featured is a bronze Jersey one twelfth of a shilling, issued in 1945 as a liberation commemorative, and a 1952 bronze British West Africa one penny with a central aperture and Star of David design.
