A pair of late 18th/early 19th century white metal framed 'Railway' spectacles: with double 'D' shaped blue glass lenses and extendable arms, in a later associated case. *Notes- patented in 1797 by John Richardson, the double lenses became popular in the 19th century as people sought to protect their eyes from smoke and debris on the first railway services.
