Pre-WW1 Westmorland & Cumberland Yeomanry Dress Cap, interesting example of the coloured dress cap for an enlisted ranks, with embroidered white on red regimental cap badge to the front, patent chinstrap and plain domed buttons. Interior with the original sweatband and cloth lining. The cap is complete with its unusual khaki cloth storage bag which is stamped with Liverpool tailors details and regimental markings ‘D W.C.Y’ indicating worn by a member of ‘D’ company Westmorland & Cumberland Yeomanry. Some wear but generally a good and interesting item of regimental headdress.
