Pre-WW1 French Kepi, being an early M-1884 style kepi in the red and blue wool configuration with thin braid chinstrap, small gilt flaming grenade side buttons and patent leather peak. Centre of the kepi with gilt metal regimental numbers ‘131’. Green satin cloth lining to the interior and black leather sweatband which remains in good overall condition showing just expected service wear.
