Railway. Infrastructure. From the collection of John M.C. Healy. This selection of approx. 100, 10" x 8" glossy prints (some minor duplication), features the building of the Great Central Main line through the East Midlands area from Leicester to Nottingham (Contract No. 2). There are some fascinating views, including viaducts, cuttings, bridges, tunnels, locomotives etc. The photos were taken from the "Contractors' Chronicle" (1890's) and include the copy 35mm colour negatives. All of the cards are captioned. Copyright is not on offer. Sample illustrated.
