A German M1871/84 Mauser Bayonet, Regimentally Marked, An honest example of the German M1971/84 Mauser bayonet, complete with metal scabbard. Wooden handle with working pommel release catch. Regimentally marked to the cross guard ‘B.11.R.8.63’ with the makers mark of ‘G G Haenel’. Dated ‘88’ for 1888 to the top of the blade with the crown and ‘W’. The bayonet and scabbard have both suffered from rusting but could be cleaned to make a respectable early German bayonet.
