A Silver Tetradrachm of the Kings of the Elymais Dynasty, Parthian Period.

Silver tetradrachm struck under the Kings of the Elymais dynasty, dating to the late Parthian period. The obverse features a finely detailed bust of the ruler facing left, wearing a crested and diademed headdress with draped ties falling behind the neck, his beard and facial features rendered in strong relief. The portrait is encircled by a Greek legend identifying the king.

The reverse depicts a frontal standing figure, possibly a dynastic or divine representation, rendered in stylised form with symbolic attributes, surrounded by an inscription in Aramaic script. The fields show characteristic dotted borders and raised relief typical of Elymaean issues.
