Star Lot : A stunning, large carved, nephrite jade and agate crystal sculpture, depicting a mother and baby bear chasing a salmon downstream. Beautifully realised form to the animals, with jade pieces cold to the touch and capturing great movement. Huge original retail on this. Very heavy with a large wooden fitted case.
Possibly by Canadian artist Lyle Sopel, the rough-hewn rockery base adds great contrast to the texture of the animals. All in very good condition, complete with custom-fitted large presentation box and artwork signed to base.
