A VOLUNTEER SNIDER ENFIELD 3 BAND RIFLE.
55" overall, 36" barrel with 3 groove rifling, ladder rear sight graduated to 800 yards, flat side lock stamped '1863' over 'LA Co', Crown VR on the tail. Walnut full stock with brass mounts, stamped on the butt 'London Armoury Company 1863'. Dated 1863.
Metal parts with light rusting, fore-end replaced, bore dirty.
