painted with ladies seated on rockwork in a landscape scene with their attendants, beside a river landscape with a village in the background, the other side with standing figures and further seated figures beside buildings, dispersed between reserves of pink flowerheads and gilt ground, the underside with a satyr in an erotic scene with a naked lady, with a daybed and curtains, with a winged cherub leaving the scene and a bird underneath observing the scene, the interior with floral sprays beneath a spearhead border
