A 19th century French carved labradorite, diamond, ruby and enamel handled ebonised cane, carved as a black man’s head enamelled in ‘American colours’ to the collar and bow tie, 91cm

Small white flaw to the right cheek, much of the nose has been broken away and is missing, possibly a few other minor dents to the back of the head. Two sections of white enamel missing from the upper collar and a little blue enamel missing from the bowtie. Looks like there might of been a further gem where there is now a hole below bowtie, minor scuffing to the ebonised show, ferrule is missing.
