North Devon Auctions was set up by Gary Copp and his daughter Stacie Copp In February 2022. It's a family run business based between Holsworthy and Great Torrington, North Devon (On the A388, approx. 1 mile from Stibb Cross) We auction various types of household items, furniture, Antiques, trinkets and much more!

Currently we are running general household and bric-a-brac auctions approximately month. Our auctions are run through Easy Live Auction and will be timed online auctions only. All items are sold as seen, so viewing is recommended.

Viewings:
All items can be viewed in person by appointment on weekdays once the catalogue is available.

Collections:
All items must be collected (or an appointment made for collection) within one week after the auction ends.

Collections are based on appointment only so the items can be pulled out prior to your arrival making your collection stress-free.

If collection/postage has not been arranged withing a week of the auction closing, the lots will be relisted in our next auction and you will be banned from our future auctions.

Opening Times:
Monday-Thursday: 9.00am till 5.00pm
Friday: 9.00am till 12.00pm
Saturdays & Sundays: Closed.

The Auctioneer acts only as an agent for the Vendor (Seller) (unless otherwise
stated). Accordingly, when a lot is sold the contract is between the Buyer and the Vendor.
As The Auctioneer act as agent only, title to any Lot at no time passes to The Auctioneer and accordingly they are not liable for any fault in connection with any Lot or defect or restrictions in the title of the Vendor to sell any Lot. The Vendor shall indemnify The Auctioneer against any claims in connection with any Lot sold by The Auctioneer on their behalf. Accordingly, the Buyer agrees that the Auctioneer acts only as an agent of the Vendor and, as such, we have, and the Buyer agrees that Auctioneer has no liability in any claims by a Buyer.

All Purchasers are reminded that in bidding for any item they are deemed to have read and accepted these conditions of sale.

Each Lot, at the fall of the hammer shall be considered as delivered and remain at the absolute risk of the respective Purchaser.

The bidding will be regulated by the company director, subject to the Vendor’s reserve (if any). North Devon Auctions reserve the right to refuse the bid of any person without giving a reason for such action.

All lots purchased must be paid for within one week of the auction ending unless other arrangements have been made. No Lots shall be removed from the Sale premises unless a receipt has been obtained from North Devon Auctions.

All Lots are believed to be described correctly but cannot be guaranteed to be so and no compensation shall be allowed regarding quantity, quality, description or otherwise of any Lot.

No warranty will be given on any item.

If any items have not been collected within one month of the auction ending even if its been paid for (Unless other arrangements have been made) we reserve the right to resell the auction lots to cover the storage charges.

All appliances /electrical items that have a plug attached are PAT Tested however we do not test the function of the items in house. So unless stated, these items will be assumed as 'unworking'.

The auctioneers are not gemmologists and we do not laboratory test the gemstones offered for sale.

The lots may be withdrawn, re-arranged, or sold in any such order as may be desirable and are to be paid for and removed at the purchaser’s expense.

Invoices must be paid by bank transfer or cash/card on collection

North Devon Auctions will not be responsible for any accident or injury to persons or property through fire or any other causes whatsoever, nor for any damage caused when delivering or collecting your goods.

All buyers fees will be listed clearly on easyliveauction.com prior to your bidding.

All Lots are entered under the Vendor’s ownership until the fall of the hammer, they then become the responsibility of the Purchaser, however we will not pass the item to the buyer until full payment is received by North Devon Auctions. In the event of any default in payment by any Purchasers, North Devon auctions reserves the right to offer the items to the under bidder (subject to any reserve applicable) and to amend the hammer price accordingly.



11. Auction Collection. We require all lots to be collected within one week of the auction ending, or a collection appointment booked/Shipping quoted arranged for the near future. Any lots not collected with in two week period or unpaid postage requests (unless storage charges agreed) will be blocked from future auctions without hesitation and the items will be resold in our future auction.

REFUND POLICY
Bidders are not to rely solely on the descriptions in the catalogue or online catalogue. The Bidder agrees the contract for sale does not include the description, only the lot number forms part of the contract of sale, descriptions are there to help the Auctioneers identify the items only.
The Auctioneers hold preview days or allow viewing by appointment when a bidder can inspect lots offered and satisfy themselves that they happy with description and the items BEFORE bidding. Bidders unable to attend can inspect the condition report online, where the Auctioneers have provided one, and ask for further information via the enquiry button on the website. The auctioneers will respond via email providing any further information about the lot offered requested.

The Auctioneers reserve the right to update these terms and conditions at any time, and the bidder accepts responsibility to make themselves aware of any updates prior to bidding.

We offer an in-house packaging service, the cost for this varies depending on the weight/size of the parcel. If various lots require posting we will combine the postage to make the most cost effective way of posting your items. We will arrange delivery via courier at the buyer’s expense.

Please note: we are not responsible for the condition of items once they have left the sale room, even if they have been packaged by ourselves. We are unable to send glass & china, including glazed pictures and any other item that is prohibited to post via Royal Mail. Buyers are however, welcome to arrange a courier themselves for these items. Please ensure you are happy with these terms before requesting shipping as we will not entertain any complaints regarding a service of which we have no control.

Local Door stop Delivery is available if required at a fee.
