A FINE GEORGE III IRISH SILVER HELMET SHAPED SUGAR BASKET, by Richard Sawyer, Dublin c.1798. The body of fluted oval shape with reeded border to the shaped rim, on support on oval spreading stepped foot. With shaped swing handle attached. Hallmarked to handle and beneath foot, nice clear hallmarks. Dimensions: 13.6cm high not including handle x 19.5cm wide approx. Gross weight: 262g/8.4 troy oz approx.
