A Wayte & Ridge, Longton, majolica plaque, circa 1870, modelled as a 17th century gentleman with a goatee, possibly Shakespearian, standing on a veined plinth with face mask below, decorated in pale green, pale blue, buff and white, all within a moulded brown frame border, impressed factory mark 'W&R L' and '128', 16.5 by 7 by 39.5cm.
