A large blue print for the 'General Arrangement 'Terra Nova':, Scale ¼=1 Foot', with stamp for David Bruce & Co Ship Brokers and another for 'Glengall Iron Works Ltd , Millwall, London' dated 23/5/3 and overwritten in ink 24/2/14, 70cm. x 154cm. *Notes- The Terra Nova was not Scott's first choice for the Expedition as he had wanted to use his old ship Discovery, which was not available. Davies remarks upon the first time of seeing the Terra Nova; 'What I expected to see I don't quite remember, but I was much taken aback when I got my first sight of her, she looked an absolute wreck fit only for the knackers yard, long overdue in fact...I certainly saw Terra Nova at her worst'.
