AN INK RUBBING OF A CALLIGRAPHIC STELE, HANGING SCROLL. 
20TH CENTURY 
The rubbing taken from a stele bearing a poetic inscription in running script, the text comprising a poem composed in celebration of spring, with reference to phoenixes and dragons as auspicious metaphors, signed with Qianlong jiayin year dated cyclical year jiayin (corresponding to 1794), with two seal marks. Mounted as a hanging scroll.
