Andre Thuret (French born 3rd November 1898), a highly influential glassmaker using metallic and coloured inclusions and coloured bubbles often becoming identifying features of his glass design, he worked in a traditional glass blowing technique exhibiting at The Salon D'Automne in 1928 and 1932 and obtained his first plate of the company of encouragement to art, he was invited to exhibit in the United States in 1929/30 and he received his Chevalier of The Legion of Honour in 1947, the Bowl of faceted form with pink glass bubble inclusions and the sides with large ''pressed in'' style workings, etched Andre Thuret mark to underside of base, 15cm diameter
