The following lots were collected during the Springbok tour to France in February 1952 by the Springboks Johnny Buchler, Buks Marais and Hannes Brewis. Many items are signed and rare. No programmes were available for the non-test games so the newspaper previews and reports provide the details of the starting lineups. 1952 S Africa French Rugby Tour Signed Menu, Tickets, Cuttings etc (6): Press report of the tourists' win over the Sud-Ouest at Bordeaux & Bordeaux Hotel card, both signed by fly half Hannes Brewis; lovely after match Dinner Menu, signed by Johnny Buchler; invite to the dinner, countersigned to 'Chum' Ochse; coloured picture postcard of Bordeaux's Parc des Sports; and a cutting signed by fellow Bok Stephen Fry, congratulating Brewis and wishing him good luck.
