An early 19c French pocket watch signed Girardier L'aine, the fusee movement having a verge escapement and flat balance with a nicely chased and pierced balance cock. The 5cm diam enamel dial has a 2.5cm diam chapter ring with arabic numerals and the outer area is painted with a depiction of the Goddess Hebe feeding a swan. It is contained in a plain silver case with ribbed edge 5.5cm in diam. overall.

The movement is in good, clean, working order. The dial is in generally good condition with a couple of slight chips. The case is in good condition but the glass is dethatched and needs refitting.
