Short History of the Mamiya C220 TLR (1968)

The Mamiya C220, released in 1968, is part of Mamiya’s renowned line of interchangeable-lens twin-lens reflex (TLR) cameras—the only major TLR system ever produced with interchangeable lenses. It was designed as a lighter, more affordable alternative to the professional C330 series while preserving the system’s flexibility.

Legacy

The Mamiya C220 remains popular with film photographers for its modularity, sharp Sekor lenses, and unique place in TLR history as part of the only interchangeable-lens TLR system ever widely produced.
