ADDENDUM- ON LOAN TO THE BEATLES MUSEUM IN LIVERPOOL FOR 6 MONTHS- Thea Porter: A turquoise 'Faye' maxi dress,
c. late 1960s/ early 1970s, (Currently on temporary loan to the Beatles Museum, Liverpool)
1/2-length sleeves, high collar, in georgette type fabric, the bodice with a central panel of Indian inspired embroidered brocade in raspberry, purple and gold, trimmed to hem and sleeves with purple velvet, hook and eye fastening to neck, key hole type opening to back, labelled 'Thea Porter, London' and size '10', underarm to underarm flat measurement approx 39cm
Cilla Black can be seen wearing this dress on the 'Morecambe & Wise Show', Series 6 Episode 3, originally aired on the 3rd October 1971. The dress is particularly visible whilst performing "Bring Me Sunshine" alongside Morecambe & Wise.
The 'Faye' dress was named after Faye Dunaway a notable Thea Porter customer. For a similar example see the Victoria & Albert Museum collection.
Condition: Good condition overall - some signs of wear discolouration visible to shoulders and sleeves in places.
