Star Lot: Primo Dolzan (Italian, b. 19th century). A charming original 1930's oil on canvas painting featuring a still life of poppy flowers on a table. Rendered in soft brushstrokes with nice achievement of light in this piece. Signed lower right and housed in a molded gilt frame.

Primo Dolzan was an Italian painter born in Tezze sul brenta in Veneto at the end of the 19th century. Painter of landscapes and still lifes, he exhibited at the Salon des Artistes in Paris between 1933 and 1935.
