Wilhelm Polders, a twentieth-century German Ecclesiastical enamelled chalice and Alms dish, inset with specimen quartz cabochons, both with a gilt interior, the chalice decorated with a stylised world map, the underside marked 'W. POLDERS / KEVELAER 835', the rim marked '925', height 18cm, the dish with a geometric border, inset with textured gilt plaques mounted with quartz, marked '925', diameter 24.2cm, ensuite with a wooden carrying case with lined and fitted interior, height of case 17.5cm approx Note: Goldschmiede Polders is a family-run gold and silversmith business based in Kevelaer, Germany, with a history spanning over 160 years, specialising in secular and sacred art, the altar cross and candlesticks at St Boniface, a German church in Whitechapel, London, were made by Wilhelm Polders (1914-92)
