A Queen Anne silver porringer, John Cory, London, 1705, of typical form with half fluted body, rope twist girdle and scrolling handles, central cartouche inscribed '1706', 7.7cm high, weight 4.04ozt

Many, small dents throughout the body, concentrated on the highpoints of the fluting. Larger dent and small split to the front of the porringer, just below the cartouche, and a large split around the base. Signs of solder repair around the splits. Moderate scratching and wear to the exterior and interior. One handle does appear to be slightly bent. Gilt to interior is moderately worn, especially around the highpoints, but it largely in good order. View pictures for details.
