A GEORGE III CAKE BASKET, LONDON 1792
An unusual wire work cake basket made in 1792 by Wakelin & Taylor. Engraved to the inner base with a full coat of arms and crest (Caswell) and inscribed to the underneath with a later dedication inscription also suggesting that the basket originally belonged to George Caswell
A very similar example also by Wakelin & Taylor is in the collection of Victoria and Albert museum (the gift of the Misses V.J.S. and B.M.F. Browne).
