A 19th-century diamond-set bird brooch, composed of a bird with spread wings, the body, wings and tail feathers set with rose-cut diamonds, with a round-cut emerald eye, perched atop a sweeping branch set with old mine-cut diamonds, in open-back settings, the mount a bi-colour metal, presumed 18ct and silver, with brooch pin fitting to the reverse, measuring approximately 54mm x 45mm; 24.0 grams.
