set with an oval cabochon sapphire of approximately 5.40 carats, within a cluster of eight-cut diamonds, diamond totalling approximately 0.30 carats, unmarked mount tests as platinum, size P, 4.5g
Sapphire is an opaque medium blue with general surface abrasions and heavy internal inclusions. One of the claws surrounding the sapphire requires re-tipping and there is a slight movement of the stone due to this. The diamonds are relatively bright and lively. The mount has general wear, particularly on the shoulders and back of the shank. Overall in good condition.
