Good violin labelled Cav Rossi Giuseppe, da Cittadella (Padova), Fece in Roma, Anno 1929; also signed on the label and stamped CAV.O.Rossi, Mutaio in Roma below the button, the one piece back of faint medium/fine curl with similar wood to the sides and head, the table of a fine width grain slightly widening to the flanks and the varnish of a light reddish-brown colour on a golden ground, 14 1/8", 35.90cm
There are two long cracks on the lower bass side of the table, otherwise no serious damage evident with some minor scratching to the varnish surfaces. See images for guidance, personal viewing always advised where possible.
