A German Third Reich army Tropical issue pith helmet, 2nd pattern, with two painted alloy insignia shields, the leather sweatband stamped 'JHS, 56-1942', unissued.
Generally in good condition, some corrosion loss to the paint on the insignia shields.
Damage to leather brim edge at centre of left hand side exposing the broken steel band.
A stain which may well be cleanable near top vent.
