Nicholls & Plincke (1829-1898), a coral and gold ring, the coral carved to depict a rodent, mounted on a gold mount which moves around a gold band, marked 'NP', total weight 1.7g, ring size N.
NB - Of Russian Interest; Nicholls & Plincke, known as The English Shop, was active in St. Petersburg for approximately 70 years, from 1829 to 1898. During the 1820s and the 1830s they began notably providing Christmas presents for Tsar Nicholas I and by 1844 they were the exclusive supplier to the Tsar and gained the Imperial Warrant. They eventually lost this title to Faberge.
Subject to CITES regulations, due to the coral content, this lot will require a re-export permit if shipped outside the mainland UK
