A CHINESE PALE CELADON GLAZED BOX AND COVER, 19/20TH CENTURY. Of circular form with four character mark to base in underglaze blue reading 'Bao ling zang zhen'. 10.5cm diam. Provenance: Property of Terence E B Harnden who served as Senior Naval Stores Officer in Hong Kong between 1937 - 1940. Acquired in Hong Kong before returning to England, thence by descent.
Good overall condition with no signs of damage or repair.
