CHINESE GILT-BRONZE FIGURE OF A BUDDHA
China, possibly late Ming / early Qing dynasty. The Buddha seated in dhy?na (meditation) posture, the serene expression with elongated ears, the hair arranged in tight curls, wearing flowing robes falling in rhythmic folds across the body. The surface gilt or gilt-bronze, with traces of blue-painted or enamelled detail, seated on a lotus base.
