A LATE 18TH CENTURY MAHOGANY 8 DAY LONGCASE CLOCK BY GEORGE LACY OF PORTSMOUTH. hood with eagle and globe finials over dentil work and fluted columns and long trunk door, to a panelled plinth base on bracket foot, to a 12" arched brass dial with strike/silent subsidiary with floral and foliate spandrels, Roman & Arabic chapter ring, subsidiary seconds and date aperture, to a movement with plates united by five knopped pillars, anchor escapement and strike on a bell, 233cm high.
