A Troika biscuit pottery square fruit bowl. With three Troika apples, fruit bowl height 10cm width 25cm depth 25cm. Bought from a storage barn in Carnyorth in the '80s by Peter Swanson. The following is taken from Ben Harris's and Lawrence Illsey's book 'troika 63-83' page 162. "Leslie was desperate for money and also sold all the unglazed biscuit ware that was left" "Some were put into storage in a barn at Carnyorth but disappeared when a mineshaft opened, swallowing half the barn and moulds." The bowl is unglazed and has a few marks and stains, but no damage. The apples are partially glazed, one has a small firing crack, other wise just a few marks.
