A GOOD 19TH CENTURY CHINESE CARVED JADE BRUSH WASHER Qing, of well hollowed form, overlaid with bats and extensive foliage. 7 cm x 7 cm. Note: Jade objects originally begun as forms of spiritual connections or value but in later years, developed into symbols of authority and status. Throughout Neolithic Chinese culture, jade remained, however, saturated in purposeful iconography and symbolism.
