Early 20th Century Royal Army Medical Corps Officers Peaked Cap. A nice early example of a RAMC officers dress peaked cap from the Great War period. Black and maroon cloth construction with leather peak with gold bullion work. The leather chin strap, secured by two RAMC buttons is in situ, but has unfortunately broken at one of the buttons holes. Victorian RAMC cap badge with screw back fitted to the front. White leather interior with green under peak. 'Hawkes' tailors mark to the inner crown. Some moth holes and general wear is present. A good cap overall.
