£300 - £350
A late 18c eighty hour longcase clock with unsigned 30cm square brass dial with Roman numerals, female head spandrels and dummy winding holes. The plated movement is chain driven and has countwheel striking on a bell. It is contained in an oak case with swan neck pediment and free standing plain columns flanking the dial. The long trunk door has a central pointed top and the plain base has a cut out plinth. The clock stands 211cm tall overall.
The dial has had its date aperture filled in and is probably a replacement. The movement is complete and probably working. The hood has some of the band moulding missing and there is a loose board and some damage to the back of the case.
