Royal Navy 1804 Pattern Trafalgar Period Boarding Cutlass
A good clean rare example of the type used at the Battle of Trafalgar and during the Napoleonic War. Straight flat blade, 28 inches long with engraved crowned GR cypher near the forte. The metal guard is in the form of a figure of 8 and is with a metal checkered grip. The cutlass remains in good condition, with the usual age wear, overall black finish and some pitting.
