Two vintage silk brocade Obi, bought from Masae Shibamura in Tokyo with the ‘Four Seasons’ wedding kimono, one woven in gold brocade, depicting in minute detail a large celebratory procession, in two panels, the remaining fabric in a small gold brocade pattern with calligraphic inscription and seal mark at one end, the other woven in Oyster silk with specific scenes of woven in brocade of a celebratory procession, the imagery larger, each illustrated and woven as a cartouche, both traditional Japanese marriage processions, Oyster colour Obi 460cm long x 31cm wide, gold brocade Obi 480cm long x 31cm wide. Condition - both look as if they have never been used, both Obis come with a black stand each and one in a box.
