Bernard Sindall (1924/5-1998) Woman in a Hat, c.1972, fibreglass sculpture, 163 x 63 x 45 cm This is a fibreglass version of the bronze figure commissioned for Birmingham University Chancellors Court showing a woman leaning against the railings behind her, wearing only a hat. The sculpture was commissioned together with the Director of the Barber Institute of Fine Art and the then outgoing Vice-Chancellor Sir Robert Aitken. A small resin model was exhibited at the Barber Institute in the early 1970s.
