A George III mahogany serpentine fronted chest of drawers, stamped 'H Mawer & Stephenson, London', with a brushing slide and four long graduated drawers, 101cm wide.
General wear and tear commensurate with age and use. Two patches to top at both back doors. Also the usual scratching and some cracking to veneer on top. Water staining in some areas. Repair to top drawer, left bottom. Loss of ebony stringing in various places on all drawers. Third drawer down, damage to carcass left side with loss below end of drawer. 1" long piece of veneer missing top left front of top. Front feet damaged/repaired. Cracks to both ends of chest.
