British-made WWI War Office Pattern steel helmet used by the US Army 1917-1918, stamped FS157. Bearing formation sign of 25th Infantry Division (Yankee Division), New York, with field finish. Complete with liner and chinstrap. Size 6 7/8”. This division served in France 1917-1918 (Champagne-Marne; Aisne-Marne; Battle of Saint Mihiel; Meuse-Argonne Offensive).
