An Indian large carved wood mask, elongated face with rounded protruding ears, Assam or Nagaland region, 19th century or earlier, below a central incised disk on the forehead, carved eye holes flank an elongated nasal bridge terminating in an exaggerated row of four buck teeth, the face surface is marked with regular surface incisions, possibly representing ritual scarification, 46 by 30.5cm Provenance: The Alain Rouveure Collection
