Letter Box. c.1860 Metal Safety Letter Box, Queen Victoria's head embossed in the centre with "LETTERS" and "PAPERS" at either side, impressed registration number and makers name "STEVENS & SON", 147x64mm with an opening aperture of 114x38mm. A very rare and unusual survivor.
