TWO BRITISH OFFICER'S SWORDS, comprising an 1845 pattern infantry officer's sword with 32" blade, shagreen grip, VR cypher and steel scabbard, 38 1/4" long, and an 1822 pattern light cavalry officer's sword, with 32 1/2" blade, shagreen grip and steel scabbard, 39" long
Both appear presentable, and both appear to have been replated at some point historically. The first sword has remnants of blade etching under this, some oxidation to the scabbard and one very small dent. Second sword with minor faults to grip wire, minor scabbard denting and a colour change two thirds the way down the scabbard as well as some very minor oxidation.
