A later copy named Peter Guarnerius" refers to a violin made by one of two famous members of the Guarneri family of violin makers: Pietro Giovanni Guarneri (Peter of Mantua), active in the 17th century, or Pietro Guarneri (Peter of Venice), his nephew, active in the 18th century.
